“MONOPAS EM – 3”
METAL-WORKING FLUID
PURPOSE AND PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The MONOPAS EM-3 metal-working fluid is concentrate for preparing of emulsifying solutions with different concentration. They are used as metal-working and passivating fluids at machining of corrosive metals, aluminium, cupper and their alloys.
It is based on mineral oil with appropriate composition of emulsifiers, corrosion inhibitors, biocide and components for improving of anti-wear characteristics.
This product is not toxic or flammable.

OPERATING MODE
Before filling with new MONOPAS EM-3 solution, as well as every other metal working fluid, the whole system is to be carefully cleaned with disinfectant/cleaning solution of STAL – 01M. This will guarantee optimum results of bio-stability and long operating life of the new MONOPAS EM – 3 solution. Sequence of cleaning process:
1.Draw off the old metal-working fluid from the system. Check out the system, lattices, strainers, drainage hole etc. and if needed clean them from residues (residues from turning, cutting, grinding etc.).
2.Pour out water in machine system. Quantity should be sufficient for thorough and effective flushing. Recommended water temperature is 500C. Add STAL – 01M to reach flushing fluid with 2% concentration (20g/l; i.e. 2kg of STAL-01M and 98 l water will give 100 l solution).
3.Switch on the circulation pump for about 30 min. Operated solution, which has oil residues from old metal-working fluids, is to be deposited and rendered harmless as required for old metal-working fluids.
4. Flushing can be repeated to achieve required clean level of the system. After flushing the system should be washed with water. Washing up with water should be repeated by reaching about pH 7 of flushing water (This can be measured with universal pH-paper.).
5.After all actions above the system is ready for charging with new solution of metal-working fluid.
For using MONOPAS EM3 as metal-working fluid the dilution is preparing by adding the product to the needed water quantity and subsequently homogenizing.
If MONOPAS EM3 is used for preservation, than dilute with water to needed concentration by keeping above subsequence. Heat the emulsion up to 400C and preserve the items by submerging for 5 – 10 min. For preservation with spraying the emulsion temperature should be 60 Before filling with new MONOPAS EM-3 solution, as well as every other metal working fluid, the whole system is to be carefully cleaned with disinfectant/cleaning solution of STAL – 01M.. Avoid mechanical impact on preservation layer.
Deslushing is to be done with water flushing.
Homogenize before using due to partial demixing at longer storage. Mixing is binding if there is any stratification.
STORAGE TERM
Store in a closed warehouse at 5 – 300C for a 12 months after manufacturing date.
