Job Title:Fundraising Manager

Salary:£30,000- £36,000 per annum

Reports to:Director of Development

Location: Based on the City Hospital campus, with a requirement for the post holder to work from the QMC campus as required. The Trust operates a shuttle bus for this purpose.

JOB SUMMARY

This role has been created to develop and implement a fundraising strategy in support of NottinghamshireHealthCare Trust (NHCT) in particular its new £21million mental health services hub for children, young people and families. The role will bring together all organisational fundraising activities, deliver specialised fundraising leadership and raise the profile of NHCT as a charitable organisation. The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for developing and delivering a fundraising strategy and working to targets, increase income as part of Nottingham Hospitals Charity (NHC)in partnership with NHCT and its Charitable Funds Committee.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To develop in collaboration with the Director of Development a fundraising strategy for NHCT taking account of all fundraising streams and audiences
  • To work with NHCT to establish a fundraising culture within their hospitals and units
  • To work with the team at NHC to establish the new appeal within the current strategy and fundraising activity
  • To work with Communications teams at NHC and NHCT to launch a new fundraising campaign
  • Personally build relationships with major donors, companies, community groups, trusts and foundations, hospital staff and senior executive to raise significant sums in line with agreed targets
  • Develop compelling cases for support
  • Implement the wider strategy developing income streams to include:
  • Supporting individuals to carry out their own fundraising events in support of NHCT.
  • Meeting with and thanking donors to the Fund.
  • Identifying new income opportunities.
  • Supporting the development of Trust and Foundation bids for funds.
  • Supporting and developing NHCT teams to be part of larger city and national events
  • Organising donor cultivation, fundraising and stewardship events.
  • Fundraising Manager will, with NHCT and NHC develop a detailed marketing plan, which will involve creating a coherent brand for the new appeal which will have its own identity
  • Use market segmentation and research, and establish insights from different target groups to inform strategy and action
  • Use Raisers Edge to manage information and record the profile and fundraising activity of donors
  • Provide and present progress reports to the Director of Development, NHC and NHCT as and when required
  • Audit all fundraising activities taking place, and monitor income levels, with the support of the Finance Team.
  • To ensure that all fundraising adheres to the Institute of Fundraising Codes of Practice and is carried out within the law, including ensuring that Data Protection laws are met at all times.
  • Manage fundraising events, press calls, media engagement as necessary
  • Recruit manage and work with volunteers to support the appeal
  • Manage an appropriate non-pay budget
  • To work outside of regular office hours as and when requested.
  • Assist with other duties as may be reasonably required
