·  WHEN AND WHERE ASSIGNMENTS: In his 25 years of service with the USAF, both as a fighter pilot and commander in the Tactical Air Command, Brigadier General Veronis commanded 4 fighter squadrons and 3 fighter wings. He has served at several USAF bases, including Nellis, George,Randolph,Luke,Scott

·  COMBAT SERVICE,IF ANY:Brig,Gen. Veronis has had extensive combat experience in Vietnam. He flew some 300 missions. In one of these missions, his wingman was intercepted by an enemy MIG-19. To save his wingman, Brig.Gen. Veronis flew between his wingman and the MIG. The result was that Veronis was shot down. Fortunately, he was rescued quickly but in the process lost his left eye.

·  CIVILIAN EDUCATION: BScee, MScee, Unversity of London, PhDEE, University of Manchester , Commercial Pilot License with Instrument rating.Brig.Gen. still flies his small airplane.
