Cornwall Food Fest Policies and Guidelines:

  1. REGISTRATION FEE: $50.00 / tent (payment details at end of document)
  2. SHARING SPACE: Vendors selling small low cost items (all items $5 or less) may request to share tent space. These requests should be made by email prior to registration. Requests should be made to:
  3. Non Profit organizations attending to promote their organization who are not selling items / raising funds may contact the Cornwall Food Fest to secure space at no cost.
  4. DONATION: Vendors agree to donate 10% of day's proceeds to "The Hub for Beyond 21 Foundation." This amount is due at the end of the event. Charitable receipts for your donation will be forwarded by mail.
  5. This event is held under a “Special Events Bylaw” of the City of Cornwall. Therefore vendors are NOT required to have individual business licenses with the City of Cornwall. Despite this the vendor still takes full responsibility for ensuring that all municipal / provincial / federal licensing and permit requirements are respected. Failure to produce proof of any of the required documents upon request by local by law officers’ day of event, will result in forfeiture of the vendor fee and the vendor will be closed. Vendor will liable for any fines resulting from failure to comply with regulations.
  6. VENDOR SPACE: Each vendor will be assigned a 12 X 12 space. Maximum tent size that you may install is 10 X 10. Please note you are on pavement. You will be required to weigh your tent using cinder blocks, tent weights, or other method. Staking of tents will not be permitted.

  8. Event takes place rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather you must still attend the event. Please plan accordingly.
  9. If you require space beyond this please contact Beyond 21 prior to registration so that we can check our ability to accommodate your request.
  10. SANITATION AND SAFETY:
  11. Vendors are responsible for their individual sites. Garbage must be put in designated pick up areas (dumpsters). Cornwall Food Fest will have volunteers throughout the day to assist Vendors with removing litter from vendors’ areas during the actual event. At the end of the day, all vendors must leave their site as they found it, clear of all garbage. Cornwall Food Fest is responsible to remove garbage from the designated pick up areas (dumpsters).
  12. Vendors are responsible for maintaining all health and safety standards and regulations. Breaches of any health of safety regulation shall result in immediate expulsion of the vendor without reimbursement of deposit.
  13. The Cornwall Food Fest is a street festival. We are unable to provide water or electricity to vendors.
  14. Vendors cancelling within 60 days of the event will forfeit registration fee.
  15. The vendor hereby releases and discharges the Cornwall Food Fest, The Hub for Beyond 21 Foundation, and the City of Cornwall, its employees and its volunteers from any claim or demand for any loss, damage, injury or liability resulting fromparticipating on the Cornwall Food Fest. The vendor further agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Cornwall Food Fest, The Hub for Beyond 21 Foundation, the City of Cornwall and its employees and volunteers from any such claim or demand.

Logistics:

  • Date: Saturday August 20th 2016
  • Location: Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON, Between First and Third Street
  • Set up: 7AM – 10AM
  • Event Hours: 10AM – 8PM (must remain set up until close)
  • Break Down 8PM – 11PM (street must be cleared no later than 11PM)
  • Event is held rain or shine. Refunds are not given for inclement weather. Vendors are expected to attend regardless of the weather.
  • We are unable to provide overnight parking / set up on site
  • An email will be sent to you confirming which block you are in and which number your vendor spot is the week prior to the event
  • Volunteers will be on hand day of the event to assist you to your vendor location
  • We provide volunteers throughout the day to assist you should you need to leave your booth for a short time (for example if you are working a booth alone, a volunteer will be available to provide you with opportunity for washroom breaks or to get food)
  • Cornwall Food Fest is unable to provide water or electrical power for this event
  • Cornwall Food Fest will have bags of ice available for purchase by food vendors. Price will be determined by actual cost. Please advise if you will be purchasing ice so that we will be sure to have sufficient supplies on hand.
  • As mentioned, Cornwall Food Fest volunteers will be on hand day of event to assist with removing garbage and waste from your food truck area.

Cornwall Food Fest is a fundraiser for the Hub for Beyond 21 Foundation. Beyond 21 is about chasing dreams. We partner with adults with developmental disabilities to identify their dreams for the future. From there we work with them to help them gain the skills they need and make the community connections they need to achieve those dreams. Beyond 21 receives no government funding. We are dependent on fundraisers, donations, and grants to continue to support the incredible people we work with. Your willingness to commit to this event is greatly appreciated and we want to thank you for joining our team of ‘dream chasers!’
