1.0 Event Information
1.1 Name of Event:2016 Malaysian Nationals
1.2 Venue: Putrajaya Water Sports Complex, Presint 6, Putrajaya;
1.3 Dates:13-14 Aug 2016
1.4 Status: National with International Invitation. All tournament and wakeboard competitors in IWWF Asian Federations are eligible by invitation.
1.5 Homologation: This will be a homologated ranking list (L) event for waterski slalom & tricks and a IWWF Asia ranking list event for wakeboard.

1.7 Entries: Entry Fee is RM200 per competitor for any number of events entered. All entries will receive a teeshirt,mineral water & lunches for Saturdayand Sunday of event weekend.

Prize monies: RM500, RM300 and RM200 for all events. Prize monies will only be given to no more than 50% of the entries starting for each event.

3.0 Event Format
3.1 Slalom Start Speeds

3.2 Rd 1 & Final
All events are run in Preliminaries (Rd 1) and Finals (Rd 2) format with Finals results counting towards medal positions. If there should be a tie at the Final, the higher score at Rd 1 breaks the tie.
4.0 Provisional Schedule

5.0 Finals
Advancement to the Finals from Rd 1 will be in accordance to the rules in 6.0 below.
6.0 IWWF Rules
All rules for Waterski will be in accordance to the 2016 IWWF World Tournament Rules and the IWWF Asia Rules. All rules for Wakeboard shall be in accordance to the IWWF World Wakeboard Rules, the IWWF Asia Rules and the Malaysian Wakeboard Rules which are similar to the Singapore Waterski & Wakeboard Federation Wakeboard Rules.
7.0 Briefing of Competitors & Officials
There will be a compulsory Official Briefing of all competitors on Saturday 13 Aug 2016 at 09.00h at the dock.
8.0 Event Officials & Official Notice Boards
Waterski: Chief Judge:Hanifah Yoong (MAS); IWWF Officials & Judges: Zdenek Kolman (CZE), Phillipa Yoong (MAS), May Lwin (SIN), Nozie Sulaiman (MAS), Danny Choo (MAS) & others to be announced but will comprise judges & officials from the region.
Wakeboard: Chief Judge: To be announced (SIN);Others to be announced but will comprise judges & officials from the region
All competitors and officials are to check the Official Notice Boards at the Start Dock and under the Judges Tower regularly for any amendments to the schedule and other info for the event.
9.0 Nautique Official Boats
Waterski: 2015 Nautique 200OB;Wakeboard: 2015 Nautique G21; (For the 2017 SEA Games we are expecting to use same boats but model 2017).
10.0 Official Hotels

VENUE
The competition venue shall be at the MWWF Training Site which is first class in terms of water conditions and much better than our traditional venue in front of the Covered Grandstands where the Control Tower is.
The traditional venue will be upgraded with a backwash system to be fixed to the vertical walls of Marina Putrajaya & Pullman Hotel to remove backwash in time for our 2017 SEA Games to be held in August 2017.
The proposed competition site below (with less infrastructure for spectating, competitors and judges) will allow all the skiers& riders to post better performances so that your IWWF rankings will be boosted.
