My First Confession—Last Thursday, 27th February, our class made our First Confession in Barnaderg Church. At 1.30 pm

we went to practice. We saw the sins box and then we sang a couple of songs. Our favourite song was the lost sheep. At 7.20

pm it was the real thing. We sang four songs. Then we sat down and very slow and lovely music turned on, one after one we

went up and told our sins to the priest. The priest said to go down to your mom and dad and give them a big hug and said a Hail

Mary. Then we got our sheep that we made with Mrs. Lane. She is very helpful to us. —By Mairead Boyle 2nd Class; When it

was time for my row to make their confession, I got butterflies in my tummy. I walked up to the alter and sat on the chair beside

Father Tod. I said bless me father for I have sinned this is my First Confession. He asked me what I would like to say to god. I

said my sins. Father Tod blessed me and I went back to my seat. I said my penance and hugged my parents. When I went home

I felt really clean.—By Chloe Miskell 2nd Class; Fr. Tod said that we were excellent. Our souls are white. After my first Confession

I felt great. In our practice we see the confession box. It was very dusty. It was dark and old.—By Niamh Lennon 2nd

Class; We are looking forward to making our First Holy Communion.—By Thomas Desmond 2nd Class.

Wormery: On the 6th of February we went out to our school garden and dug holes in the soil. We found lots of worms and we

got soil and put it in a plastic box. We also put sand layers into the soil. For the first 10 days we put no water or food in the box.

Then ten days after that we gave them water and grass. (We only have one worm left.) There was enough food and water in

the soil to last 10 days. We put grass into the box to feed them. By Dean Morrissey, 3rd Class

Roisin’s Pasta Bake: Before the midterm we made pasta with a tomato and garlic sauce. First we made the sauce. Then we

left the pasta to boil. After a while it was ready to eat. Everybody had a small bowl of the pasta and sauce. Everyone said it

was absolutely delicious and some people even had seconds. It was nice to make the sauce from scratch. By Roisin Corcoran,

3rd Class.

himself and then he showed us the different kinds of origami. After, he showed us all the origami he had made. It was

amazing! Later he showed us some techniques on how to hold and crease the paper. After a while we made a triangle, a duck,

atethadedron and then last but not least we made a hugh 3-D cube. A lot of people got frustrated with it but they finished it to

the end. We will be showing our origami in the Radisson in early June. We had great fun and I can’t wait until he comes again
