GENERAL NOTES FOR PRODUCT

1) The information contained in this data sheet is supplied in good faith but is does not constitute part of any declared or implied product specification or guarantee, unless otherwise indicated. The information is believed to be accurate, but is given solely for your internal purposes. ARTEMIS Ltd.shall not be liable for any inaccuracy of the information to any third parties to whom it may be passed, unless ARTEMIS Ltd.as given it's prior written consent to such information, and/or it's incorporation with other information being given to a third party.

2) It is the responsibility of the end user to confirm suitability for their application. If in doubt about the feasibility of a particular end use, please seek technical assistance from ARTEMIS Ltd.

3) ARTEMIS`s polyester trilaminate is produced using a two-part, high performance, polyurethane adhesive with the metallised layer being encapsulated between the polyester and BLLDPE plys.

4) Gauge Tolerance on the polyethylene substrates in the construction are +/-10% and on the polyester substrate +/- 10%, corresponding with Industry standards for these films.

5) Interlayer bond strength is measured on ARTEMIS Ltd`s Instron, on transverse direction samples with a 90° tail at 200mm/minute-crosshead speed. Test laboratory at 23°C 50% R.H. (BS5350). Bond strength pass or fail is based on an internal ARTEMIS Ltd.test procedure.

FLEX PERFORMANCE

Oxygen barrier of metallized laminate bags used for bag-in-box liquid packaging can deteriorate when low viscosity liquids are transported over long distances with excessive vibration. ARTEMIS Ltd`s LTF laminate is designed to give good resistance to loss of barrier on flexing, but actual results achieved will depend on other factors including bag inner liner used, product viscosity, bag dimensions, fill ratio, etc. The end user is advised to check suitability for his particular bag structure and product.

STORAGE

Store in dry condition (30-70% Relative Humidity) at 10-30oC. Protect reel ends from water which can cause blocking. Web flatness of metallised plastic films and laminates can deteriorate on prolonged storage. It is recommended that reels be used within one year of delivery. Product will not be guaranteed against specification if reels are used after this period.

European Directive2004/19/ECreffers particularly tomaterialsand articles composedexclusively of plastics, polilaminatesof such materials, and therefore it is applied primarily tothese products. EEC Directive2004/19/EC applies specificallytomaterials and articles consistingexclusivelyofplasticsandto laminatesof suchmaterials, andconsequently does not apply to these products.Suchfilmsandlaminates are subject EC RegulationNo 1935/2004.(Framework Regulation)

Anumber of monomers orstarting substances that are used in themanufacture of the films forthis laminate aresubject tospecific migrationalrequirementsunder Directive 2004/19/EC. Specificmigrationtests indicatethatmigration into thevarious foodsimulants arewellwithin the limits imposedfor each of themonomersandstartingsubstances. For further information pleasecontactARTEMIS Ltd. Tests carried out for ARTEMIS Ltd on overallmigration usingfood simulants as definedinAnnex1 of2004/19/EC indicatemigration willbe withinthe limitof10mg/dm²under normalconditions of use.
