GENERAL COURSE DESCRIPTION

Agricultural Education 11 is an intermediate-level course that develops specific skills for agricultural employment. Ag Ed 11 is the second of a three-part course offering that prepares students for careers in ag-related fields. Typically, students enroll in Ag Ed 11 during their junior year; however, twelfth grade students may take the course if approved by the instructor and the guidance staff.

This course uses a "hands-on" approach to learning. Students will be asked to demonstrate learned outcomes in a variety of ways.

Following Ag Ed 11, students may elect to take the third step of agricultural education, Ag Ed 12.

**** If a student is cross-scheduled between agriculture and college preparatory, (s)he may opt

to schedule one semester of Ag Ed 11 if necessary to avoid conflicts in scheduling. This should be arranged through the student's guidance counselor.
