Recruited by new owner to join the vessel as Captain with a yard period in Florida before crossing the Atlantic to cruise the Tyrrhenian, Adriatic and Ionian seas, visiting the Balearics, Italy, Croatia and the Greek and Turkish islands.
Currently in Palma undergoing a yard period to replace the shafts before sailing back across the Atlantic.

Self- Employed
Established own business fitting out yacht tenders with focus on the bespoke fit out of high spec yacht tenders through from receiving the bare hull to engine and electronic installations.
M/Y LARA– 39m Motor Yacht 2003 – 2007
Relief Captain / 1st Mate / Chief Engineer
Initially hired as engineer in 2003, rapidly promoted to the position of Chief Engineer with extensive involvement in two major refits.
Promoted to 1st Mate and relief captain in 2005 with responsibility for the day to day management of the vessel and crew.
As a RYA powerboat instructor, provided training and issued the crew with their powerboat level 2 and ICC certification.
Crewed Owner’s 52m Perini Navi sail boat to include an Atlantic crossing from Paradise Island to Puerto Banus. Also skippered a 65’ Baia powerboat for a season cruising the Mediterranean.

Fitter Engineer
Hired as fitter engineer for company building bespoke tenders for the super yacht industry.
Represented company at Monaco Yacht Show giving detailed demonstrations to clients, one of which resulted in the sale of a custom built tender for the M/Y Lara.
RIBEYE – RIBTEC– UK
Fitter Engineer
On joining Ribeye Ribtec, appointed to undertake all aspects of the fit out of the ribeye ribs through from the hull build to the delivery and handover to the client.
SEAPORT MARINE– UK 1
Apprentice
Family owned business operating a fleet of tugs and crane barges. First position after leaving school.
Involved in a major refit while working onboard the “Western Salver” encompassing fitting a four point mooring system, fabrication of five 3 ton anchors and mounting a 35 ton crane on the deck. Vessel then used for salvage work in the channel isles.
Acquired a range of skills including welding, fabrication, and engine room and bridge procedures.
