JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: /Fitness Suite Supervisor

RESPONSIBLE TO: / Leisure Centre Site Manager
JOB PURPOSE
To develop, market, promote and supervise the operation of the fitness studio and to assist the Site Manager in other health and fitness related projects.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To provide exceptional customer care at all times
2. To Communicate and engage with the customer at all levels by being empathetic to their needs and wants
3. To motivate yourself and others
4. To organise and carry out fitness suite kick starts.
5. To organise and carry out customer fitness assessment appointments.
6. To carry out and organise fitness work programmes.
7. To devise marketing, promotional and usage initiatives to maximise both usage and income to achieve set targets.
8. Be accountable to work and meet sales and retention targets
9. To generate leads and convert them into sales
10. To instruct fitness classes as part of the fitness class programme
11. Utilise customer data to provide bespoke training plans on an ongoing basis
12. To play an integral role in the retention of customers by fully adopting and applying the designated systems of work
13. Other related duties as directed by the Site Manager.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
1. Qualified Fitness Instructor to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent2. Qualified to instruct a range of fitness classes
3. Previous practical experience as a fitness/gym instructor would be advantageous
4. Ability to work on own initiative, be self-motivated with the ability to make a difference.
5. Ability to demonstrate a high commitment to customer care and providing a quality experience.
6. Be conversant with the latest fitness trends with the ability to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of a range of the most up to date training apps
7. Committed to continuous professional development
8. To be able to work as an effective team member.
9. Understand the needs and requirements of all age groups and adapt programmes as required.
10. Be physically fit and be able to portray the fitness ethic.
11. The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with excellent IT skills is essential.
