**UNITY HEALTH SYSTEM NURSING SCHOLARSHIPS

Deadline: March 15 (Received)

College bound seniors who plan to major in Nursing are eligible to apply. In 100 words or less, explain why you feel nurses play an important role as caregivers and why you should be chosen to receive this scholarship. Awards vary. Application information online:

**E.C.HALLBECK MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP (AMERICAN POSTAL WORKERS UNION)

Deadline: March 15 (Received)

The E.C. Hallbeck Memorial Scholarship will award $8000 ($2000 annually) to ten recipients (one male and one female from each of the five postal regions) to apply towards their four-year college tuition. Applicants must be the child, grandchild, or legally adopted child of an active, retired, or deceased member of the American Postal Workers Union (APWU). Applicants may not apply for the APWU Vocational Scholarship.

**AMERICAN POSTAL WORKERS UNION VOCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: March 15 (Received)

Vocational Scholarship winners will receive up to $3,000 for specialized training in such fields as culinary arts, medical or dental assistant, electrician, real estate, auto mechanic, certified IT/computer education, cosmetology, or massage therapy, etc. Eligible programs can be of a nine-month to three-year duration. Applicants must be the child, grandchild, or legally adopted child of an active, retired, or deceased member of the American Postal Workers Union (APWU) and may not apply for E.C. Hallbeck Scholarship.

**OKLAHOMA EDUCATIONAL MEMORIAL TRUST (OEMT) SCHOLARSHIPS

FOR WEBSTER SENIORS

Applications are available to Webster seniors for the following OEMT Foundation Scholarships:

Daniel Webster Alumni Scholarship (2.5 GPA; 18 ACT; $1000 renewable), Moita Davis Memorial

Scholarship (2.5 GPA; 17 ACT; $1500), Daniel Webster PTA Community Scholarship (2.5 GPA;

$500), Martha Elizabeth Grant Memorial ($1000 renewable), Gladys Whetstine Scholarship

($1000), Ed Coffey Memorial (3.0 GPA; 16 ACT; $500), Janet Elson Scholarship (Englsh or

Humanities major; 500-word essay required; $1500 and $1000),

Zillah ford Memorial Scholarship (World Language major; $500), Mollie Howell Memorial Scholarship (Vo-Tech student majoring in fashion merchandising/design; $750), Nancy Brazier-Green Memorial Scholarship Spanish major; $1500).

**U.S. DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: March 30 (Postmarked)

Applicants must be the college bound son or daughter of an Active Duty, Retired or Deceased Army Officer or enlisted soldier. Awards vary.

**DELTA SIGMA THETA SORORITY SCHOLARSHIPS

Deadline: March 31 (Postmarked)

Graduating seniors with a minimum 2.75 GPA (7 SEM) and financial need may be eligible to apply. Three scholarships will be awarded: “Pocahontas M. Greadington”, “ Jobie B. Holderness”, and “The President’s Award”. Two letters of recommendation, a recent photo, and a short essay are required. The awards range from $500-$1000. **FEDERAL EMPLOYEES EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE SCHOLARSHIP (NHCFAE)

Deadline: March 30 (Received)

NHCFAE members, current civilian federal and postal employees, their children who are high school seniors, and spouses may be eligible. Applicants must be college bound and have a 3.0/4.0 GPA.

**LIFE LESSONS SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: March 31(Received)

College bound students who have experienced the death of a parent or legal guardian are eligible to apply. Applicants must write an essay (500-word maximum) describing the financial and emotional challenges they have faced. The awards range from $2000 to $15,000.

**LULAC NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND FOR HISPANIC STUDENTS

Deadline: March 31 (Received)

Hispanic students who are college bound are eligible to apply. Awards are$250.00.

**DANIEL WEBSTER H.S. ALUMNI FOUNDATION COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: April 5 (To Counselor)

Graduating seniors with a minimum 2.5 GPA who plan to attend college may be eligible. Applicants must have attended Clinton M.S. for three years and Webster High School for four years. A minimum 20 ACT and a short essay are also required. The award is $1000 nonrenewable.

**DANIEL WEBSTER ALUMNI “JERRY BILLINGS” MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: April 5 (To Counselor)

College bound seniors with a minimum 2.5 GPA who have attended Webster High School for four years may be eligible. A 350-word essay is required. The award is $1000 nonrenewable.

ROTARY CLUB OF NORTH TULSA 2013 “ED LACY” SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: April 5 (Received)

College bound seniors who are U.S. citizens graduating from Tulsa Public Schools may be eligible. Applicants must be active participants in their high school athletic program. A 350-word directed essay, two letters or recommendation, and an official transcript are required. Typewritten applications are preferred. Previous awards have been $1000.00.

CHEMTRADE COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP FOR WEBSTER SENIORS

Deadline: April 12 (To Counselor)

Chemtrade Refinery Services, a west side manufacturing company, would like to provide a scholarship to a deserving Webster senior. Applicants should be college bound, preferably with a major in Science or Engineering. Applicants must demonstrate high scholastic achievement, leadership, involvement in school and community, and financial need. Two letters of recommendation, a personal statement, and an official transcript are required. The award is $1500 nonrenewable.

TCC TULSA ACHIEVES PROGRAM

Deadline: April 30 (Submitted to any TCC campus, 6 p.m,)

Seniors graduating in May 2013,having attained a 2.0/4.0 GPA, and who are residents of Tulsa County may apply for 63 credit hours with tuition and fees paid while attending Tulsa Community College. Applications must include the Tulsa Achieves Program Agreement form, A Tulsa Community College admissions application, and a FAFSA confirmation form. Program recipients are required to perform 40 hours volunteer service each academic year. All application documents are available at:

SCOTT & KIM VERPLANK FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP FOR ATHLETES WITH TYPE 1 DIABETES

Deadline: ASAP

Applicants must have a childhood diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes that is being successfully managed with medication, exercise, and diet. In addition, applicants must have a 3.0+ GPA and be committed to education and participation in organized athletics. Awards of up to $10,000 are available.

KOHL’S CARES FOR KIDS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Kohl’s is accepting nominations for students aged 6 to 18 who donate time, effort, and ideas to make their communities a better place for all. Parents, educators, nonprofit organizations, and beneficiaries of these acts of kindness may submit nominations. Scholarship awards range from $50 to $10,000. Nomination forms are online:

THE FRANCES KOOP PARSONS/AT&T PIONEERS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Graduating seniors who are Oklahoma residents and planning to enroll full-time at an eligible Oklahoma career technology center, two-year college, or four-year university may be eligible. Applicant must have attained a minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA and family income must not exceed $50,000. The award is $500.00.

TULSA DENTAL CENTER SCHOLARSHIP

College bound seniors should submit a resume that includes an objective regarding future areas of studies, personal history, honors and awards, and extracurricular activities.
