Scholarships
Paideia fellows are eligibleforscholarships during their studies at Paideia. The scholarship includestuition-free studies, a study trip to Israel and a monthlystipend of approximately 750€ per month to cover rent and living costs.The number of scholarships is limited. A student’s ability to be financially self-sufficient or to secure external financing will be considered as merit in the admissions process. The scholarships are distributed on an ongoing basis. Therefore the earlier you apply, the better chances are to get a scholarship.
Specializations in the One-Year Program:
Paideia currently offers two specialized scholarship programs provided by the Rothschild Foundation Europe and the European Jewish Fund.
The conditions are the same as above with the following additions:
Rothschild Foundation Europe Fellowship for Jewish Educational Activism
The fellowship includes specialized courses and seminars in informal Jewish education paired with project development and mentoring in Jewish educational activism. Seed money for project implementation is included as a follow up to the studies. Candidates for the program should be experienced and highly motivated to work in informal Jewish education and ready to commit themselves to implementing an educational project after the end of the program
European Jewish FundLeadership Fellowship
Eligibleare candidates who workwith Jewish Communitydevelopment. European Jewish FundFellows are required tofocus their project work on Jewish Community development.
Continued studies for an MA degree
Paideia also offers the possibility of continuing studies towards an MA degree at the Hochschule fur JüdischeStudien in Heidelberg. You need to provide certified copies of your High School Diploma and Certificate of University studies, i.e. diploma and transcripts.All papers are required to be in English.
Requirements
Paideia welcomes applications from qualified individuals committed to the revival of European Jewish culture.
No prior study experience in Jewish text is required. European communities, institutions and organizations are invited to propose candidates whom they envision filling leadership roles.
A free and open atmosphere is an important prerequisite. Paideia aims to be an organization where everyone is treated equally and respectfully, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation and physical ability.
