Adjectives

Adjectives describe and modify nouns and using them help your readers understand and visualize what you’re writing.

For the following three sentences, circle the nouns and underline the adjectives…

Proper Adjective

Proper adjectives are created from proper nouns and should be capitalized

TYPES OF ADJECTIVES

Positive Form

The positive form describes a noun or a pronoun without comparing it to something else.

*The first game was long and tiresome.

The comparative form compares two persons, places, things, or ideas.
