LHS Booster Club Meeting

President Jeff Brecht called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m.
Administration – Mr. Joey Struwe
- Head Football Coach Job opening will occur within the next couple weeks. This will be a coaching/teaching position which is hoped to be filled by second semester.

Secretary Report
- Motion made to approve minutes of the October 10, 2016 meeting. Minutes were approved.
- The current rostershave been posted to website.
- Email Jane Schroeder with any updates ().
Treasurer’s Report
- Current balance: $192,062.84.
- Motion made to approve the report. Report was approved.
- Only Budgets outstanding is for Wrestling.
- All allocations should be reflected within the activity.
Ongoing Business
- Presidents Bowl Income is potentially about $51,000 per school.
- There will be a check distribution at one of the upcoming basketball games.
New Business
- President Bowl Basketball Tournament will be held November 19th at LHS, WHS, RHS gyms.
- There has been an increased number of teams registered this year at 61 currently.
- Kurt Loudenback is the Site Director for the Tournament.
- Donations of 20 ozPowerade, Water, Baked Goods are requested Wednesday Nov 16 between 4-6 p.m. by the gym foyer.
- Lace Em Up revenue is approximately $18,000 with additional $3000 from Silent Auction.
- Jay Uyofsky was hired to run the tournament and this was felt to be very advantageous.
Announcements
- Marching Band to leave for Hollywood next week to march in the Hollywood Christmas Parade to be aired at a later date. 260 members will travel via bus.
- Theater will present multiple performances of the “Scarlet Letter” this week. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $5.00 each.
- Volleyball Girls will play at the State Tournament in Brookings at noon on Thursday, November 17. They will re-match first place ranked Harrisburg which they defeated in Districts.
- Boys and Girls Cross Country competed in the Nike Regional (consisting of athletes from an eight-state region). The boys placed 8th and the girls placed 9th overall.
- Cross Country State - Boys and Girls Cross Country teams were both state champions as well as having the individual state champion for both. This was the 2nd state championship for the girls.
- Foyer Feature Photos will continue to be placed.
- Champions Wall to include Girls Tennis, Boys and Girls Cross Country.
Next meeting is December 12, 2016.
