- Positive family climate among staff, volunteers and students
- Family events reflect shared values
- We are Imagine observed throughout school
- Vision Statement visible and clear
- Task forces created as needed
- School rules (S.H.A.R.K.S.) seem lengthy and possibly cumbersome for students to remember
- Consider placing meeting dates on a single day of the week. (Example – First Wednesday of month – Faculty meeting; Second Wednesday – Subject area meeting; Third Wednesday – Cluster meeting; Fourth Wednesday – Taskforce)
Economic Sustainability
(Business and Organizational Management) / Team: All Team Members / We commend:
- Staffing appears to be reduced to appropriate levels for budget.
- Spending appears very conservative
- Excellent cash handling procedures
- Principal discusses budget with faculty
- Business Partner Program
- Increase student enrollment to make budget
- Consider leasing space to generate additional revenues
Academic Achievement

- Rich displays of student work observed in each classroom
- Many print-rich environments with interactive word walls
- Good use of classroom libraries
- Clear and detailed PD plan/calendar
- Excellent technological resources available to teachers and students
- Good use of manipulatives
- In each room students were fully engaged
- All classrooms are actively using CHILD materials including assignment boards
- Many teachers are differentiating tasks for students
- Students were all engaged during observations
- CHILD materials appear very organized
- Review ESE policies, procedures and law with faculty to ensure compliance
- Distribute boxed materials in teacher planning room to teachers and secure SAT-10 testing materials
- Consider using the Curriculum Form for self-study and/or peer/administrative observations
- Middle School transition was very lengthy
- Many task cards contained too many steps. We recommend that teachers consider taking advantage of IFSI website to assist in task card planning.
- Continue to increase use of teacher station with targeted instruction based upon student data
- Create and utilize a CHILD database to share successful, teacher-generated task cards
Parent Satisfaction

- School size allows for a family feel
- Students are happy
- Good parents support with Parent Involvement team
- Enrollment is increasing
- Dedicated, private space for student clinic
- Increased training for clinic aides
- Establish private place for parent-teacher conferences to occur
New School Development

- Outstanding PR efforts that include earned media, website, and production of television ad.
- Increased signage on nearby roads
- Increase campus security with the extension of fencing to encompass ALL classrooms.
- Consider working with developer to level and fence field area inside of drop off loop to enhance PE capability.
Positive Character Development

- Staff models positive character development and communication in all interactions
- Character traits are posted in each classroom
- AM announcements contain positive character message
- ‘7 Traits’ tree, AR Wall, Wall of Kindness, Weekly trivia challenge, Star Student of the week, and “We are Imagine Wall” are examples of a culture of character.
- Discipline procedures posted
- Emergency Procedures should be posted at door of every room
- Increase visibility of character education traits in middle level classrooms.
