Braidy Memory Game

Purpose of this game is to have fun while reviewing Braidy terms and concepts. This is geared for second graders and up.

Cut out the story component words below and the matching examples. Glue each on to a separate index card.

To play the game, a player must match a story component word (i.e. character, setting, transition word(s), kick-off, plan, attempts, resolution) with an example of that story component.

Side Note: some examples may contain bolded words such as:

Brother Bear’s & Sister Bear’s room was a mess!

The bolded words are the targeted concept in that example. For this example SETTING was the targeted concept.

When a student gets a match, they put the pair of index cards in their pile. The student with the most pairs in their pile at the end of the game wins.

Just FYI…there are a lot of pairs listed here. It took me 30 minutes to go through 15 story component/example pairs with 8 students.

Have fun!
