Mark Lee-President Elect

Mark has been teaching for 34 plus years with 31 years in Drivers Education. He has been a DE Coordinator for Dist. 564 for the past 15 years working with classroom, simulation and BTW. Mark has also been teaching TSE classes through SCSU for the past 5 years and just signed a contract to take over as the Director of TSE through SCSU. Mark has served on the ADTSEA Board of Directors for the North Central Region as well as the ADTSEA Executive Board.

Michael Shephard-President Elect

Michael has served as WTSEA President for 6 years, and WTSEA Past President 4 years and was re-elected for a two year term. Michael has been a board member for over 20 years, and is currently serving ADTSEA on the board representing the Northwest Region.

Gary Scott-Secretary Treasurer

I have taught since 1972 elementary secondary and college levels. I went into teaching because I wanted to coach. I have been blessed, more importantly, to be a teacher in the subject matter of traffic safety (driver and motorcycle education) after entering the educational field. I have taught for both private and public driving schools. I have enjoyed serving this organization of professional driver educators and would like the opportunity to continue serving. I appreciate your consideration for this ADTSEA position.

Lawrence Woodruff-Secretary Treasurer

Mr. Woodruff has been active in traffic safety issues for novice drivers for some 50 years. He has served on the ADTSEA Board of Directors for 3 years representing the South West Region. Mr. Woodruff has also served as CASE Treasurer for several years.

Cathy Broderick-NE Board of Directors

My life started in St. Cloud, MN then to Warroad and on to St. Paul until graduating from high school. After graduating, I attended Bemidji State University. My first teaching jobs were in Vermont, 3rd and 4th grades. I moved on to farming and went back to teaching Jr. High and Sr. High mathematics from 1972-1982. While taking a school bus instructor course for the State of Vermont, John Harvey showed me the light- Driver Education. Since completing my DE courses in 1982, I have continued to teach DE half time at Stowe High School. I have my master’s degree from Lesley University in Cambridge, Mass. I just completed teaching motorcycle safety courses this spring. I started teaching the courses in 1992, the second year after Vermont started offering the course. I have been a member of ADTSEA since 1984, VTSEA and NETSEA since 1982. I am currently a member of all three.

Gabriella taught 8th grade for 9 years. She served as an elementary school principle for 22 years. She has worked with Drivers Education for 9 years through South Royalton High School and her business, Yankee Driving School.

Greg Mangan-SE Board of Directors

Greg Mangan is retired after 30 years in Hotel/Club Management. Created Drive 4 Life Academy, Inc. in 2007. Greg has been an ADTSEA member since 2011. He also served as the past president of the Southeast Region of ADTSEA. Greg received the 2015 Teacher Excellence Award from ADTSEA as well as the Shining Light Award from Rotary in 2015.

Josh Turner-SE Board of Directors

Josh Turner is the Director of the Georgia’s Driver’s Education Commission. In his current role, he oversees the administration of driver’s education grant scholarships throughout Georgia, a program in which he developed and implemented with an annual budget of almost four million dollars. Josh has an extensive background in program development, implementation, and management. Prior to his appointment in his current role, Josh was a Grant Manager with the Georgia Governor’s Office of Highway Safety where he was the impaired driving training program coordinator and oversaw the bicycle and pedestrian safety and professional training programs. He has attended numerous program management courses with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and he is often referred to as a problem solver and bridge builder with a common-sense approach. Before joining the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, Josh was a representative for Governor’s Nathan Deal’s first gubernatorial campaign. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of North Georgia where he majored in political science with a minor in criminal justice.

I started my career as a physical education teacher for 6 years and then I moved into administration. I was an assistant principal/athletic director for six years, a high school principal for one year, and a school superintendent for fourteen years in the state of Michigan. During this time I also taught driver education. We then moved to Arizona and I was hired as an elementary physical education instructor and driver education instructor for the Deer Valley Unified School District. I have 32 years in Driver and Safety Education.

Genny is the current CASE President and has served in that position for 4 years. She is served as CASE Vice President for 4 years as well. She taught Drivers Education for 5 years and has 12 years in the field of Drivers Education. Genny is the owner/operator/instructor of Empire Driving School in California.

Roger Voight-NC Board of Directors

Roger has held various positions in the Illinois Driver Education Association and ADTSEA serving as Board member and President in each Association. Roger taught for 38 years and has had 50 plus years in driver education.
