The Employment Agency is a new University initiative to better connect regional employers with University of Sunderland students, graduates and alumni.

Our client is a UK wide veterinary group that works in a collaborative way with their respected practice partners to deliver the very best veterinary care to all clients and patients.

The company is growing rapidly and are expanding to double the size. The organisation currently employs over 1,150 staff through the head office and across the UK. Established in 2015, they are a relatively new company, with links to 152 sites overall.

The Role:

Our Client is looking for a talented, dynamic PR and Communications Executive to join their busy team.

Reporting to the Head of PR and Communications, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent writing skills, ability to work to tight deadlines, a nose for a good story, and strong organisational and verbal communication skills.

The position will be based in the vibrant city of Newcastle upon Tyne, but you may be required to travel to our practices throughout the UK. This role requires a truly flexible approach, with a combination of high levels of responsibility and ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.

You will be required to write press releases for national, regional and veterinary press, TV and radio, and maintain our impressive track record of achieving extensive media coverage for the organisation and its practices. You will be able to prepare interesting copy for our quarterly in-house staff magazine, websites, newsletters and social media.
