JOB TITLE:Senior Coordinator, Community Giving, Brampton

REPORTING TO:Director, Community Giving, Brampton

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Director, Community Giving, theSenior Coordinator,Community Giving, and Bramptonis primarily responsible for driving new business through annual giving programs, new third party community events, employee giving, tribute & grateful patient programs. The Senior CoordinatorCommunity Giving, Brampton is also responsible to support event execution of Osler’s Signature Events.

RESPONSIBILITIES: (include but not limited to)

  • Is committed to the Missionof William Osler Health System (Osler) and the Foundation
  • Along with the Director, Community Giving participates in the development of strategies and execution of strategies forFoundation signature event sponsorships, new third party events, proposals, tribute & grateful patient programs
  • Coordinates and executes required tasks in the development and implementation of various fundraising projects for the Foundation
  • Plays aleadrole on the Employee Giving Campaign
  • Identifies opportunities for acquiring new sponsors and participants and upgrading existing sponsorsfor signature events
  • Will be actively involved in our social media campaign
  • Identifies, recruits, and motivates volunteer event committee members
  • Identifies opportunities for acquiring new community events
  • Identifies opportunities for working with community event organizers to help enhance their events through the Foundation’s website (on-line promotions and on-line pledging) along with other avenues to ensure success
  • Maintains positive internal and external relationships
  • Is a team player and facilitates internal coordination of fundraising activities
  • Attends functions held in the community and organized by the Foundation as required
  • Liaises with Foundation staff and provides support where necessary
  • Records notes and actions in Raiser’s Edge to track meetings, outcomes, future steps, meeting notes etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University Degree, College Diploma or a combination of relevant experience
  • Three years of recent related experience
  • Specific experience and proven results in developing new business opportunities in the community
  • Volunteer Management Skills
  • Experience working with diverse communities
  • Demonstrated excellence in communications, relationship building and teamwork
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Raiser’s Edge
  • Experience in budget management and monitoring
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate the vision and key messages of William Osler Health System and the Foundation to the community
  • Holds a current drivers license and has access to a vehicle
