The 7th grade boys basketball team played their final game last night in what ended as a heartbreaking loss to South in the final minute. The Orioles played one of their best games all season. We started off strong on both sides of the ball, forcing turnovers, grabbing rebounds, and making smart decisions on offense. The entire game was led by North by nearly 10 points until the final 2 minutes of the fourth quarter. After two big 3 point shots made back to back by South and being out-scored, they were right back in the game. The game came down to the final 20 seconds where North was forced to foul. The foul ended up being the game winner in the end. The final score was 52 to 50. Coach wants to congratulate you all on a nice season all around and was happy with all of the improvements shown as a team. The Orioles finished the season with 13 wins and 5 losses. Three of those losses were only by 1 point and then last nights by 2. Great job to everyone.
Last night the 8th grade boys basketball team was victorious with a one point victory over Tri west 34-33. Leading throughout the game, the boys displayed great toughness and perseverance and never got rattled when Tri West tried to go on a run. Mitch O'Mara led the way with 12, while Ben Bradley added 7, Eddie Whyel had 6, Zion Lindsey had 5 and Trey Flatt with 4. The next game is the county championship at 6:15 on Thursday at Brownsburg East. Students come out and help cheer on your orioles against the rival bulldogs!
