2017 CSTFC CHEERLEADING TRY-OUT INFORMATION

Thank you for your interest in the Coral Springs Tackle Football Cheerleading program. We are looking forward to another superior year.

Cheerleading is an intense sport that requires dedication from both the children and parents alike. It is imperative that the parents support their kids and coaches in every way. Cheerleading Season runs July through Mid November.

Commitment & Team work is the Key to the Team’s success.

  • Each participant will be required to attend tryout/evaluation clinics on days specified for age group listed below.
  • Sign in on first day of your age group meet day is between 5:45 and 6:00pm. All other clinic days start at 6:15 pm.
  • Please bring to evaluation clinic: copy of Birth certificate: if you have not cheered in the CSTFC cheer program or have not cheered in the program for over two years a copy of birth certificate or pass port will need to be submitted.
  • Team placement will be based on evaluations made during TWO days of clinic so it is important to be present onboth days.
  • Evaluations are based on many factors including: ability to learn skills, attitude towards coaches, teen coaches and other clinic attendees as well as spirit, Passion, attitude towards the sport. Experience is not necessary; commitment and dedication is. Each cheerleader attending clinic will be evaluated closely. It is an even playing field, meaning that past years in the program do not give a returning cheerleader an advantage. Each potential Chargers cheerleader for the 2017 season will need to display not only the ability to learn, but a real desire to be part of a winning, hard working program.
  • Evaluations consist of: 1 cheer, jumps, motion technique and stunting ability.
  • Tryout/ evaluation clinic attire: athletic shorts, t-shirt and sneakers
  • Teams will be posted on Saturday May 6that 10am on the Tackle Football Building.
  • Upon making at team a Mandatory Mass Registration will be held:Saturday May 20, 2017. 1 parent and cheerleader must attend or your spot will be forfeited. Mass Registration will last aprox 2-3 hours.
  • Registration fees will be due upon making a team. Payment must be completed online and receipt will be brought to mass registration. Payment plans are available with a minimum of $125.00 down.( see expense sheet) All payments must be made in full by first game or your cheerleader will no longer be able to participate in practice or games until payment is made in full.
  • For those who qualify for Youth City Scholarship , applications can be found online and must be turned into Cheer Commissioner with all required documentation by August 1st . Full payment must be made and reimbursement will be made if club receives funds from city.
  • Cheerleading Uniform is a required purchase ($125.00)if one is not already owned. Returning cheerleaders are responsible for purchasing parts of uniform that do not fit, damaged or lost- items can be ordered at Mass Registration. The Club will not be responsible for swapping out uniforms.
  • Each Cheerleader will be required to attend mandatory stunting clinics in July, August and September.
  • Practices start in July & are Mandatory3 nights a week and will increase towards end of season to prepare for Competitions. Attending practice is the key to the team’s success.
  • This is a traveling league. Games are on Saturdays August- mid December. Cheerleaders are required to participate at Playoff games (if team makes it to playoffs) & Super bowl.
  • Cheerleading Competitions are Mandatory:which occur in late October,November and December.
