Directions to Loch Leven RSPB Reserve from Glasgow area:

Northern route: (the least recommended, but fast roads for most of the way) M80 to Stirling, M9 and A9 to Perth, M90 south. Leave the M90 at junction 5 and turn left at the end of the slip road. At the T junction ahead, turn left (on the B996) then first right onto the B9097. The entrance to the RSPB Nature Reserve is nearly two miles ahead on the right hand side of the road.

Northern route variation: (fast to begin with, then scenic) M80 to Stirling, M9 and A9 to past Blackford. Take the A823 south through Gleneagles to Yetts O’Muckhart and continue south for about 1½ miles on the A823 to the junction with the A977. Turn left on the A977 for approximately 1½ miles to Crook of Devon. Just through Crook of Devon, turn right opposite the garage on the B9097 for about 6 miles to the T junction with the B996.Turn left (on the B996) then first right onto the B9097. The entrance to the RSPB Nature Reserve is nearly two miles ahead on the right hand side of the road.

The middle route: (some fast road then the most scenic route and, being the shortest, surprisingly quick, but watch out for cyclists) M80 through Cumbernauld, M876 to Clackmannan Bridge, A977 to Crook of Devon (roughly 12 miles). Just through Crook of Devon, turn right opposite the garage on the B9097 for about 6 miles to the T junction with the B996.Turn left (on the B996) then first right onto the B9097. The entrance to the RSPB Nature Reserve is nearly two miles ahead on the right hand side of the road.

The southern route: (also not recommended, but fast roads for most of the way) M8 and M90 to the Forth Road Bridge.Leave the M90 at junction 5 and turn left at the end of the slip road. At the T junction ahead, turn left (on the B996) then first right onto the B9097. The entrance to the RSPB Nature Reserve is nearly two miles ahead on the right hand side of the road.
