Don’t disqualify yourself. Previous grants from the Halton Learning Foundation, whether from Barriers Funds, Enrichment Funds or external funding bodies through the HLF, do not prevent your school from applying for more funds. HLF has different “pots of money” for different purposes. If in doubt, contact Janice Rowe, , to discuss before you make a decision not to apply.

The Final Written Report for successful applicants will be due June 1, 2012 and sent electronically to Janice Rowe . We need written reports using sentences and paragraphs that describe the effectiveness of your project in relation to the criteria in Reporting Section E. Photo essays, point form reports, mp3 songs, power point presentations are not helpful since we must to be able to quote you in your own words in written reports to donors and in promotional material to prospective donors. The report should also include testimonials from students and/or teachers and at least one digital photo.

Important Notes:

  1. Schools that received funding in 2010--2011 and did not submit a written report to Janice Rowe will not be considered.
  2. Schools that have a limited ability to fund projects through their own resources will be given a higher priority.
  3. If the number of requests exceeds the available funding, schools who have received previous HLF support from Enrichment Funds may be given lower priority.
