Ashkan Pouya - Chairman

Ashkan Pouya has an educational background in business administration at Uppsala University, Queens University, and at WHU-Otto Besheim School of management, in Germany. He is co-founder of OrganoClick and has co-founded several other successful high-tech companies, and has been the CEO of Diamorph AB. He is currently in the board of directors of Nanologica, Prozeo, and Boxit Robotics. Formerly he has also been a professional athlete in martial-arts where he won the world championships in the year 2000.

Anders Wall, Med Dr. h. c. Consul General, board member

Anders Wall is a Swedish entrepreneur, industrialist and investor with broad Swedish and international experience. Following studies in business at the Stockholm school of economics he has been involved in starting numerous companies as well as being an active investor. He is currently the Chairman of his private investment company Beijerinvest, the listed company Beijer-Alma, Kjell & Märta Beijers foundation, Anders Wall’s foundation, Counsel Th C Berghs foundation, Rydabruk, and Svenskt Tenn. He is also in the board of directors in Domarbo Skog, Hargs Bruk, and the Anders Wall Professor of Entrepreneurship foundation. Previously he has been the Chairman of Volvo, and been in the board of directors in Handelsbanken, Skandia, Billerud, Uddeholm, Industrivärlden and Groupe Bruxelles Lambert. Mr. Wall is also Honorary Fellow at Uppsala University, Luxembourg’s Consul General and member of the Royal Academy of Engineering Sciences.

Claes Göran Beckeman, board member

Mr. Claes-Göran Beckeman holds a MSc in chemical engineering from Chalmers. From 1977 to 1997 he worked with Tetra Pak followed by the Tetra Laval Group in different leading positions such as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Mr. Beckeman joined SCA 1998 where he mainly worked as CTO for SCA’s business area Personal Hygiene Products. From 2004 to 2007 he build up the Forest-based Sector Technology Platform (FTP), an initiative of the European forest industry and forest owners to establish a private/public partnership with EU and national authorities regarding R&D in the sector. Mr Beckeman is a member of several boards of directors in the packaging area and of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences.

Bertil Hagman, Consul General, board member

Mr. Bertil Hagman is a Swedish industrialist and entrepreneur with a long international experience. After receiving a MSc in law from Lunds University, he held various leading positions in the Tetra Pak and Alfa Laval group such as Director for Tetra Pak in Japan and Great Britain, Global Sales and Marketing Director, and thereafter as President and CEO for the whole group. From 1992 to 2006 he was CEO followed by Chairman for SinterCast AB. He is currently Chairman of EPC. Plc. He has previously been board member in several companies within the Tetra Pak and Alfa Laval group, AssiDomän AB, Oriflame Eastern Europé SA, FIBA AS, and IMD. He has also held positions in numerous advisory boards including The Swedish Industries Council in Japan, Rheinmetall AG, Arctic Island Ltd, Chumak Ltd, Kurkunov Ltd and Ecolean AB. From 1989-1996 he also served as Swedens Consul General in Lausanne.

Armando Córdova, Ph. D., board member

Armando Córdova is Associate Professor in organic chemistry at Stockholm University and is scientific co-founder of OrganoClick. His research focuses on the field of organic catalysis and he is the author of more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific articles. In addition he is the inventor of 8 patents or patent applications.

Jonas Hafrén, Ph.D., deputy board member

Jonas Hafrén is Associate Professor in wood science at the Swedish University for Agricultural Science and is scientific co-founder of OrganoClick. His research focuses on fibre structure, modifications of bio-fibres, and wood preservation. He is the author of more than 20 peer-reviewed scientific articles and is the inventor of 5 patents or patent applications.

Saeid Esmaeilzadeh, Ph.D., deputy board member

Dr. Esmaeilzadeh is Associate Professor in materials chemistry at Stockholm University and co-founder of OrganoClick. In 2002 he was recognized as the youngest Associate Professor in Sweden by the Swedish technology journal “Ny teknik”. In 2004 he was awarded a Research Fellowship by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. He has also co-founded a number of university based high-tech companies.
