Ready to be energized by ThetaHealing?

There is a proliferation of healing modalities these days, from traditional faith healers to natural energy healers. While I've heard most of them, the latest to join this bandwagon is called thetahealing.

What attracted me to it started with a lecture, an aching colleague, and a friend who is a student of theta healing. While attending a basic crystal lecture, a co-crystal enthusiast became animated upon discovering that a dear friend sitting in front of us had a bad, aching shoulder. True enough, our friend acknowledged that he did have a problem with his shoulder.

My friend then started lightly holding and meditating on my other friend’s shoulder. And lo, the healing took place! My friend said his arm felt better after a few minutes of meditation.

As much as my interest was kindled at this time, it became quite obvious that my path would cross with theta healing again. Eventually I got invited to a theta healing talk held recently, and now, I got to ask all the questions I could muster.

At ThirdEye Wellness

As one of the new age healing modalities in the Philippines, the face of thetahealing now is a surprisingly posh, cultured, and very lovely young woman named Sanaiyah Gurnamal.

She is the co-owner of Third Eye Wellness, a health center in Mckinley, Fort Bonifacio. So far she is the only certified ThetaHealing Master instructor in the country, authorized by its founder Vianna Stibal, an American who developed the technique in the US as far back as 1996.

Gurnamal explained the modality thus:

“Thetahealing brings your consciousness into a meditative theta state (the normal brainwave when we’re sleeping), thereby slowing down your brain waves, enabling you to perform instant healings on yourself and others while also giving you the ability to access the Creator energy or 'God consciousness'. This state also helps you to change your negative belief systems or thought patterns and also to download positive feelings, emotions, and energies into yourself.”

Gurnamal further explained that to attain this “seventh level of existence”, thetahealing teaches the individual to “take (our) consciousness out of our body and take it to the seventh Plane where we are in 'communion' or co-creating with the energy of the Creator.”

Theta healing’s main contention is that a great part of our physical, mental and sometimes spiritual problems are caused by “negative belief systems” that are sometimes so ingrained in our subconscious that it blocks out even repeated tries to eradicate it.

These negative belief systems, Gurnamal asserted, could come from childhood beliefs (taught by parents and other authority figures), genetics (a programmed fear of, say, poverty or lack of food from parents undergoing the same problems in their time), past life experiences (linked to the law of karma and reincarnation) and soul memories (the belief that a person’s soul never dies, therefore, it carries and stores past negative beliefs with it through several lifetimes).

“When something is not there or I sense something wrong, I try to find the negative belief this person harbors,” she said. “I connect to that person on the theta level, which is also a connection to God. I usually find it.”

Believe you can heal

Once the negative belief system is identified and removed “energetically” (Sanaiyah explains that everything including what we believe to be true is just energy), this is replaced with a positive belief system that will work for the person.

“We also download the energy of the positive feelings or emotions that will help you now live with this new positive belief system or mindset or perspective in your life, therefore creating positive outcomes in your life,” Gurnamal explained.

To better understand how this technique works on the body, I was given a demonstration. Sitting opposite a theta healing practitioner named Rashmi, I was requested to identify a specific health or mental problem at hand.

Off the top of my head, I said “sweaty palms and feet” when I travel around a lot in our humid weather.

Rashmi asked for permission to hold my hand and began to delve deeper into the cause of the problem. With every question asked, we finally managed to trace the problem to my past and, when the negative belief system was properly identified, Rashmi asked me to close my eyes and repeat after her a series of affirmations. These would eradicate this belief in my mind and program me for health, wealth and abundance.

Slowly, slowly, my breathing became regulated, my palms started getting dry and I felt great all over. Frankly, the thing works!

That 100% healing feeling

Sanaiyah Gurnamal said that 100% of her clients feel some kind of healing in a session, whether it was a complete physical healing, a sense of empowerment, manifesting happiness and joy which they hadn't known, bringing in a soulmate, manifesting abundance, or just a greater understanding of the situation at hand.

As to any incident wherein the patient/client does not heal instantaneously – as it is believed that instantaneous healings do occur at the seventh plane of existence – Sanaiyah said, “Theta Healing, like all healing modalities, is subject to the free will of the client. The person needs to want to be healed, believe that they deserve it and that it is possible, and make an effort towards allowing the healing to happen.”

However, there are those who believe that they will take time to heal. “For these people, we have to work on them to be able to accept a healing and to think they are worthy of it before we actually get to do the healing,” said Gurnamal.

Some patients’ diseases that Sanaiyah healed before using thetahealing include hypo/hyper-thyroidism, high cholesterol, poly-cystic ovaries, arthritis, osteopenia (early onset of osteoporosis), eczema, hemorrhoids, infections/viruses, weight issues, severe depression (including suicidal tendencies), multiple-personality disorder, possession/elemental cases, anxiety/panic disorders, agoraphobia, relationship problems, smoking habit, IBS, allergies/sinuses, and epilepsy.

She also managed to put a cancer patient into remission for one and a half years.

Change your mind, change your health

Aside from generating positive feelings of happiness, joy, abundance, self-confidence and empowerment with the knowledge that one can change one’s reality and heal oneself, as well as create a better understanding of God, one’s life purpose and life in general, Sanaiyah Gurnamal said you “can see past lives or tap into past life memories, read your future, connect with ancestors who have passed on, connect with your guardian angels, go into a plant and communicate with them, perform healings on animals, and even work on genetic diseases; have your DNA activated; bend time; manifest what you want in your life, and call in a soulmate.”

A caveat: It is recommended that persons who have serious and debilitating diseases/problems seek the counsel of medical physicians/professionals first and consider natural and alternative healing modalities as complementary to their treatment.– KDM, GMA News
