NOMINATION PROCESS:
For a Nominee to be considered, the nomination form must be completed in its entirety and submitted with supporting documents outlining the Nominee’s achievements.
Any Individual or Group may nominate more than one person or Organization, and an Individual or Organization may nominate themselves.
It is the responsibility of the Nominator to inform the proposed Nominee of the submission. By submitting an entry you automatically grant Haldimand County the right to use any materials in the entry for editorial, analytical, promotional or any other purpose without additional permission or compensation.
COMMUNTIY FESTIVAL AWARD CRITERIA:
  • A festival or event is an organized gathering with a planned program oriented towards arts, culture, sport and entertainment, charitable or educational activities that occurs within a defined period of time;
  • Open to the general public with no admission charge or a minimum charge where deemed necessary to ensure as much public participation and access as possible;
  • Festival or event is active in nature and encourages community/resident/visitor participation;
  • Festival or event promotes tourism and economic benefit for Haldimand County and its residents; and,
  • The festival or event is hosted by a not-for-profit Community Groupand the Nominee has demonstrated leadership, innovation and involvement with significant time and commitment to the project.
Festivals and events vary in size and complexity. For recognition purposes, thisaward will be divided into 2 categories:
  • Major: attendance level is over 500 people andan operating budget over $ 10,000
  • Minor: attendance level is under 500 people

NOMINATION MUST INCLUDE:
  • The applicable nomination form with all sections and questions completed in full; If more space is required, please insert extra pages; and,
  • Other supporting materials (e.g. publications, photographs, media stories, video, etc.).
IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE NOMINATOR TO ENSURE THE APPLICATION HAS BEEN COMPLETED IN FULL WITH ALL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION.
THE NOMINATION WILL BE JUDGED AS PRESENTED.
