Introduction

This unit is designed to provide vocational skills in Vehicle Valeting Operations at Entry Level 1, 2 and 3.

Vehicle Valeting Operations

This unit includes:

·  consideration of health and safety issues with respect to activities in vehicle valeting operations.

·  consideration of career opportunities related to vehicle valeting operations.

·  an appreciation of environmental issues relating to vehicle valeting operations.

·  the safe use of vehicle valeting equipment and appropriate hand tools.

·  a review and evaluation of performance.

A typical example of an appropriate activity would be washing the outside of a vehicle, including paintwork, bumpers, glass, door, sills and drying it off with a chamois. Learners will also polish the vehicle outside and clean the interior of the vehicle.
