Primary Function:

This position provides accounting support to accounting areas, including accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation. The Accounts Payable Specialist reports to the Accounting Manager. General duties will include vendor and accounts coding, preparing, entering, and validating invoices.

Essential Responsibilities:

1.  Develop and maintain reports and files on the Accounts Payable processing.

2.  Process all invoices and enter all invoices into the system.

3.  Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.

4.  Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

5.  Provide general Ledger review and process entities.

6.  Responsible for cash reconciliation.

7.  Initiate Vendor setups and payment processes.

8.  Filing and scanning for Accounting Department to establish and maintain a paperless environment.

9.  Ability to work as a member of a team to ensure work is complete on time and accurate.

10.  Must be able to communicate effectively in the English language.

11.  Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Conditions:

Employee will be working within an office environment. Employee may be expected to travel on occasion to locations where specific attire is necessary.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

·  High School diploma or GED

·  One to three (3) years of experience in Accounts payable

·  Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word, and Excel

·  Ability to multi-task and prioritize assigned projects to meet deadlines

·  Ability to communicate effectively with clients, customers, and vendors

·  Self-motivated; ability to take assigned tasks with minimal supervision

Preferred Requirements:

·  Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; combination of equivalent experience and education may be substituted for degree
