Terms & Conditions / ·  Salary €40,000 - €48,000 per annum DOE.
·  Flexible work hours including sleepovers, weekends and bank holidays on a roster system
o  25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and Good Friday
o  50% premium payment paid for Sunday hours
o  Double time payment for Bank Holiday Hours
o  Shift allowance paid for Saturday work
o  Sleepover allowance paid
o  On call allowance paid

Job Overview

/ The position of team leader is an existing role within the organisations residential services. The role will operate at a middle management level, and as such the position holder will be expected to operate with low levels of supervision and in a consultative manner with their line manager when key decisions are being made.
Team Leaders are responsible for ensuring that support, training, supervision and personal assistance to people with learning disabilities is provided in an appropriate manner. Their role is to support persons with learning disabilities in self-care and independent living activities and help them to lead self-directed lives of active participation in and contribution to community life.
Under the direction of the Team Coordinator, the position holder will be expected to ensure that care & services received are person centred and delivered in an effective supportive manner.

·  Ensuring individual staff and teams are behaving in a manner consistent with the appropriate level of the organisations Competency Framework.
·  Working with WALK staff to ensure their alignment to the values and vision of WALK is translated to and evident in their behaviours and practice.
1.  Ability to deliver on the vision of the organisation to support people to have self determined lives in socially inclusive communities.
2.  There is a portfolio of approved Autism Informed interventions which are implemented, monitored and reviewed.
3.  There are agreed developed models of support complemented, provides contingency for and eventual evolution from the existing model of support.
4.  A clinical frame work and associated support plans exist for the persons supported under your remit. This leads to reduced risk probability that is accepted by WALK and the HSE. It additionally results in quality of life and wellbeing improvements evidenced by impact measurement data.
5.  To design, develop and deliver effective personal plans to all services users with emphasis on community inclusion.
6.  Implementation of high performance related initiatives with teams under your remit demonstrates high team performance which is effective in achieving identified outcomes for people supported. This input is measured through performance reviews, coaching and supervision meeting with staff.
7.  Demonstrate objectives aligned with Personal Outcomes Measure goals of people supported.
8.  There is effective review and implementation of plans to embed the use of natural support networks in all locations within the remit.
9.  Developing an effective motivated team.
Essential Criteria – to be assessed by CV / ·  A relevant third level qualification in social care or related field
·  Experience in supporting people with Autism through an autism informed approach.
·  Experience leading teams supporting Audits with Autism in the social care sector
·  Demonstrated ability to support Adults with complex needs (mental health challenge and/or challenging behaviour) in community settings
·  Experience working with quality systems such as POMS, CQL or PQASSO.
·  Have a full driver’s license
Desirable Criteria - to be assessed by CV / ·  Prior experience in a similar role
·  Have experience supporting individuals whose behaviour can challenge.
·  Have a management/supervisory qualification
·  Knowledge and experience of implementing National Standards and Regulations.
