FACILITIES COMMITTEE-Deniz Blankenfeld, Chairperson

  1. Crossroads Hotel and Convention Center reserved for November 8-9, 2010. Contact: Brenda Jager 352-3204
  • $250 deposit required along with signed agreement (Owen)
  • 80 rooms blocked until Oct 18th @ $70.99 per night
  • Two complimentary rooms for the Committee use
  • Use one room for Sunday nite Social for early attendees??
  1. Facility diagram and meeting room planning grid
  • Three meeting rooms through out two days
  • Large group Keynote room each day first session.
  • Exhibitor Hall, setup Sun nite/Mon with Exhibitor Night Monday
  • ASCLS-SD Meeting Noon Monday
  • CLMA Meeting Noon Tuesday
  1. Verify Exhibitor Van parking adjacent to Convention, report to Exhibitor Committee to include option in letter.
  2. Secure laptop/projector for three rooms + backup

  1. Plan meals and breaks with Crossroads, report costs to Registration Committee to include in fees.

PUBLICITY COMMITTEE:Lezlee Koch, Chairperson

  1. Develop “brand” for ASCLS-SD/CLMA Annual Meeting
  2. Logo to all committees for correspondence
  3. Secure page on ASCLS-SD Website to post meeting documents for access by committee members.
  4. Post meeting dates state and national ASCLS (Lezlee)
  5. Post meeting dates with Advance (Lezlee)
  6. Post meeting dates state and national CLMA (Rick)
  7. “Save the Date” mailing to all lists, deadline______. (What about the State Lab listserver???
  8. Solicit sponsors for the meeting
  9. Draft Registration packet. Mailing Date______

  • Email vendors to “Save the Date”

  • Draft 2010 letter, logo, rates, etc
  • Van parking, confirm with Deniz
  • $300-one table; $400-two tables; $400-one table plus van parking??

  1. $250 requested from ASCLS-SD for startup account.

  3. Draft budget for 2010 meeting, 20 exhibitors, 120 attendees (Owen)
