THE CITROEN DS HIGHRIDER REVEALS ITS SECRETS AND THE FUTURE DS4
Citroen has released the first pictures of the inside of the its Geneva Motor Show concept car, the DS HighRider and revealed it is the basis for the next production model in the Citroen DS line, the Citroen DS4, following on from the debut model, the DS3, which will arrive in Australia during the Spring this year.
Like its body style, the cockpit of DS HighRideroffers force, dynamism and refinement.The ergonomic design of the controls, the mastery of texture combinations, the quality of materials selected and the general atmosphere actually reveal a high standing and a high level of quality for the well-being of all occupants.
The instrument panel, seats, and door panels are sheathed of “aniline full-grain type leather” and evoke the codes of luxury leather-working and of sports cars.With the instrument panel, this high-quality leather displays the DS embossed initials which subtly shades off.It is obtained by compression of a specific milled matrix on leather to get this clean and noticeable relief.
The seats are of aBracelet design. The door panels are trimmed with grey through gold shading colours to accompany the external dynamism of DS HighRider. It is the result of the know-how of the best leather specialists, and is obtained by hand applied application of specific varnishes.
The controlled environment in the passenger compartment of the DS HighRider, mainly due to the contrast between a panoramic windshield and a dark roof panel, sublimates both these elements. The care taken in choosing the smallest details makes it possible to go even further in elegance with, for example, chromium-plating of door panel crosses and of the arch connecting the instrument panel to the console.
Reflection of external outline, the interior of DS HighRider respects the codes of exclusiveness, the dynamism and the refinement which make its personality: an original concept. Like a tailored suit, the driver will discover that the DS HighRider is a perfect match for their personality.
