SCENE: MISSING – M/M Comedy

Hank and Ian appear to be stranded on a deserted Island.

Ext. A desert Island

Hank and Ian are sitting on the sand.

HANK’s Props needed for this scene. A stick and a popsicle is needed.

HANK: Of all the stupid ideas!

IAN: How was I supposed to know the boat was going to sink?

HANK: For one thing, you could have checked to see if we had enough gas.

IAN: Look, we’re going to be rescued soon so let’s make the best of it.

HANK: Rescued? How do you know?

IAN: Because our parents will realize we’re missing and they’ll send

the Coast Guard out to look for us.

HANK: That’s what everyone on Gilligan’s Island thought, too.

IAN: We’ll just make an SOS sign, and when a plane flies over they’ll see us.

HANK: Okay. You got some rocks and I’ll make the sign.

IAN: (Looking around) There’s no rocks. We’re on a beach.

HANK: How about if we spell it in the sand?

IAN: Good idea (Starts writing in the sand) “Dear Plane, My name is

Ian and my friend’s name is …”

HANK: (Stomping on him writing) You don’t need to write a whole

letter. Just write “Help!”

IAN WRITES HELP IN THE SAND

IAN: I’m hungry.

HANK: Maybe we should look around for some food.

IAN: There are some trees over there. I’ll go look.

HANK: Okay. I’ll stay on the lookout for planes.

IAN EXITS; HENRY CONTINUES WRITING “ HELP” IN THE SAND. AFTER A BEAT,

IAN ENTERS EATING A POPSICLE.

HANK: Where did you get that popsicle?

IAN: There’s a restaurant behind those trees. This nice man just gave

it to me. I hope we get rescued soon. Have you seen any planes?

HANK: (Grabbing the popsicle) Oh brother.
