Gene Iager Agricultural Scholarship
This scholarship is being made available by Eugene (Gene) Iager, a Howard County dairy, turkey, and grain farmer, and businessman. Mr. Iager exhibits mostly registered Holstein cattle, along with a few other breeds, and has shown many quality animals.
Applications Due July 1
A five thousand ($5,000) scholarship will be offered to Maryland youth who have/had a dairy project (any breed) and are enrolled in a 4-year College of Agriculture program. This scholarship is being made available by Eugene (Gene ) Iager, a Howard County dairy, turkey, and grain farmer, and businessman Mr. Iager exhibits mostly registered Holstein cattle, along with a few other breeds, and has shown many quality animals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Available to all Maryland dairy youth who are currently enrolled or have been enrolled in a dairy project (any breed).
B. Students must be pursuing a four-year degree in any agricultural program in the college of their choice.
C. Available to second semester freshmen through entering seniors.
STIPULATIONS:
I. One $5,000 scholarship will be awarded annually and may be won one time
II. The winner will be notified by the Scholarship Committee.
III. Scholarships will be awarded at the 4-H Dairy Show at the Maryland State Fair.
