Application:
MEGAMORV SK-30 type boilers are primarily designed for automatic burning of pressed saw-dust (pellet). For safety considerations, the design of the combustion chamber also enables manual operation using firewood billet and wooden waste after the grill has been displaced. Designed for heating buildings with a max. height of 20 m, and bigger family houses.
Technical description:
The wood-fired boiler is made of 5 mm welded steel sheets with a three-phase flue pipe construction. The boiler body comprises two main parts, the first is the pre-combustor including the combustion chamber and the tilted grill. The tilted grill, also forwarding burning wood, can be moved by an arm. The pellet burner and safety accessories are mounted onto the front door of the combustion chamber. Pellet is fed automatically to the pellet burner by a screw conveyor from a temporary pellet container adjacent to the boiler. Pellet feed is controlled by the boiler thermostat and the automatic control mechanism. The second part comprises heat exchanger surfaces with two turning chambers, the upper is ceramic- lined. The pre-combustor is surrounded by water batteries forming a common system with the waterways of the boiler. A cast iron access door is mounted on the boiler side at the turning chamber for cleaning and also supplying secondary air. Fuel is fed into the furnace through the top door on the front of the pre-combustor. The door is provided with asbestos gasket. The flue pipe can be cleaned and ceramic lining replaced through the cleaning doors at the upper turning chamber. The arm by which the tilted grill can be moved is on the side of the boiler. The forward water pipe outlet is on the boiler top, while return connection is on the lower part of the boiler, with safety, expansion and filling-draining connections of adequate sizes formed on both. Pipe sleeves for temperature and pressure gauges are provided, also, the connection for boiler thermostat is here.
From the heat exchanger surfaces, flue gas passes through smoke connections to the chimney. In case of pellet combustion, the chimney merely functions as smoke outlet, while in wood combustion mode the smoke connection is connected to the chimney directly or through an exhaust fan, if required. The boiler comes with 50 mm thermal insulation coating and painted sheet envelope. No special foundation for installation is required.
