LCM Organ Scholarship at St Thomas the Apostle, Hanwell
The applicant will:
Hold at least an Associate Diploma (or equivalent) in Organ; and,
Be accepted to the BMus, PgDip, or MMus in Performance at the London College of Music (LCM).
Duties commence: Duties terminate:
January, 2018. Final week of the degree programme (inclusive).
The Organ Scholar's main duties will be executed during term-time, and will include playing at:
Sunday Mass (weekly);
Choral Evensong (occasional);
Feast Days (occasional); and,
Holy Days of Obligation.
The Organ Scholar may sometimes be required to assist both the Director of Music and Director of Junior Music at St Thomas the Apostle, either by conducting the ensembles or helping with routine administrative tasks. The Organ Scholar may also be invited to attend some of the Worship Team's committee meetings.
In addition, the Organ Scholar willbe required to accompany the LCM Chorus in rehearsals and concerts, and, if suitably qualified,may be asked to contribute to teaching LCM second-study organists.
NB - The Organ Scholar will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) check, the completion of which will be ensured by both the parish priest of St Thomas the Apostle and the Director of the London College of Music.

- If you are applying to the undergraduate course via Clearing, please state your interest in the Organ Scholarship when contacting the University of West London. (Further information about the Clearing process will be published on the University’s website, later in the summer.)
- Having completed and submitted your UCAS or course application form, or having applied via Clearing, please contact Simon Rigby at , providing a list of your Music qualifications, a CV, and a recording of your playing. (A CD, DVD, U-Tube link, or Website link would be acceptable.)
