APICS Instructor Development
Dear Chapter Leaders:
The Heartland District is planning to offer all of the courses in the instructor development training series this year. These are excellent courses for all instructors (whether they are brand new to teaching or have been doing it for years) and are required for those instructors that are pursuing APICS Instructor Development Program recognition. Chapters can benefit from these courses in a couple ways – 1) quality instructors bring more students and 2) chapters should only be using Instructors that participate in the Instructor Development Program for their certification education programs as part of the Channel Partner Agreement.
The first course we will be hosting is APICS Train the Trainer. A summary of the course is included at the end of this letter. We are planning to host this event in the district during May. In order to select an appropriate location, we would like to get a list of individuals that want to attend. APICS Train the Trainer is a very interactive, 2 day course. A nominal fee of approximately $250 will be charged for this event, and if the participant is traveling there would be 1 or 2 night lodging. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be included.
Please contact your instructors and potential instructors to review this opportunity with them. E-mail a list of individuals that want to attend to Scott Imhoff at by April 23rd. The details of the event will be put together and reservations will be taken shortly after. This event will be limited to 12 participants.
