Job Title:Assistant Administrative Officer

Salary:Scale 3 £16,781 - £17,772

Accountable to:Officer Manager

Hours of Duty:36.25 hours per week

PURPOSE AND OBJECTS OF THE JOB

1. To support the Office Manager, Treasury team and other Staff of Metro Moneywise, in the servicing of the financial requirements of the credit Union

2.To provide the highest level of customer care for our members and inline with Metro Moneywise’s policies

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

1.Respond to personal, telephone, written and email enquiries from members.

2.Assist members to complete loan and membership applications and other forms.

3.Process membership applications, share withdrawals, share deposits, share to loan transfers and other transactions using the Kesho accounting system.

4.Maintain members’ records on the Kesho database and Onbase Scanning filing system.

5.Carry out online ID checks and credit reports.

6.Carry out general admin duties including photocopying, dealing with mail, and filing.

7.Assist with the preparation and mailing of member statements, newsletters and other information.

8.Assist in the collection of data for reports.

7.Liaise with external organisations as requested.

8.Provide training, support and guidance to temporary staff, trainees and volunteers.

9.To maintain the confidentiality and security of documentation and typewritten work as appropriate, including systems administration, systems back-up, housekeeping, record keeping and information retrieval.

SECONDARY DUTIES

1.To participate in training programmes as trainer or trainee as may be required.

2.To provide cover for the office administrative team at the request of the Office Manager, undertaking such duties as directed by the Office Manager.

3.To deal with relevant correspondence, questionnaires, etc, relating to the work of the team.

4.To attend meetings/events as may be required, both as participant or minute taker.

5.To undertake such other duties and responsibilities as may reasonably be determined by the Treasurer in consultation with the postholder, and if he/she wishes, with his/her Trade Union representative.
