Microsoft MapPoint is an established product for which we continue to offer training and this product remains an effective and cost-effective mapping solution right now. However, we do wish to draw your attention to this piece of news: MP2013 was the last version of MapPoint - Microsoft and Amazon UK have stopped selling the EU version, although you can still buy it from other providers.
Be reassured, MapPoint will continue working - you will not lose any functionality. However, the UK demographic data was already well out of date in the 2013 version along with some postcodes (eg E20). Postcodes and roads will gradually become more and more out of date - it is major changes to the road network* that are most likely to affect its use, as geocoding and demographic data issues can be dealt with in other ways.
*Still a way off, but the most dramatic new projects announced in December 2014 include: dualling the entire A303 and A358, including a tunnel at Stonehenge giving dual carriageway from London to within 15 miles of Land's End, and dualling of A1 all the way from London to Ellingham, just 25 miles from the Scottish border. And then, of course, there's the proposal for the Silvertown Tunnel, adding another river crossing in London planned to be suitable for most HGVs.

Our MapPoint courses are relevant to anyonewishing to use MapPoint 2013(or previous versions)to analyse and visualise the geography of their customer base or other aspects of their business.
Wecan teach you how to use this cost-effective mapping software with our one-day MapPoint training course.Delegates work using their own laptop and copy of MapPoint. The workshop is a combination of demonstrations and exercises - topics include:
Moving around the map
Importing data into MapPoint
Working with “pushpins” (spots on maps)
Density shading
Creating graphs and pie charts on maps
Setting up your own regions as territories
Creating a drivetime zone
Exporting data
Presenting and sharing your maps
£750 plus VAT for in-company training if you are within 50 miles of Banbury - if you also wish to include a day working with your data or are further away, please ring for a quote.
You provide a suitable training room that can accommodate the trainer and up to four people. Modules as above, but the course can be tailored to your requirements, so we can include modules for Nearby Places and Route Planner (NB MapPoint can only schedule one route at a time) if you prefer, or spend some time looking at your data.
No need to worry about forgetting what you’ve learned. All topics can be revisited via the training material - used for training on the day, it’s yours to take back to your own desk.
