TOPIC / PERSON RESPONSIBLE / DISCUSSION / ACTION
391G Courses / Dean Clarkson / “How are they going?” Teachers care about what they are teaching; students pick what they are interested in. Topics are timely (ex: YouTube). Torn between all semester long with one hour or half semester with two hours.
Two-Tier System / Cory Pols / All advisor meeting tomorrow 1-3pm: class of 2015 starts in general studies and later can apply to advanced scholarship in departmental or multidisciplinary honors. All will complete a capstone. Allows people to complete simply general honors and avoid the thesis or for transfers to avoid retaking gen-ed honors courses. This restructure may make com col less desirable for students in small departments. Require meeting to opt out of application to advanced scholarship.

CHC/UMass Pride / Dean Clarkson / Chancellor’s wife wants more campus pride. We should invite her to SAB to help talk about how to achieve this. It will be good to get her take on it. Invite should be from a student. / Dan will email her with details.
