Announcements:

Anyone interested in obtaining a George Barker Scholarshipapplication should go to the FEF web site, . The application is completely online. Please note that the recipient must be a resident of Wisconsin to be eligible.

The 2008 Valentine’s Dance will be held on February 16that the Holiday Inn Riverwalk in Neenah. Tickets are $65 per couple. Registrations must be in by February 9th. If you did not receive the reservation form mailed earlier, contact Anna Halaychik at 920-725-0059 or visit the web site, andview under “Events”. We will have a silent auction at the dance and have some very unique and special items, so be sure to bring your checkbook. Proceeds will benefit the chapter scholarship fund.

Our chapter will select a member to attend the AFS Government Affairs Conference in Washington, DC on April 9 -11. The chapter will reimburse the registration fee for the member. The member must cover their own travel, meal and lodging expenses and be willing to report back to the Board on the event. Coming Events:February 7–8th– AFS Wisconsin Regional – Pfister Hotel, Milwaukee. Our chapter is a co-sponsor of this event. Make your plans to attend. March 3rd - “Foundry In A Box” – Demonstration by Tom Cobett from FEF. Student Scholarship Night - Bill Sorenson of FEF will be there to help present scholarships.

April 7th – Management Night

May 17-20th – AFS Cast Expo in Atlanta, GA. On-line registration and lodging reservations are available through the AFS website. Go to and view under “Cast Expo ‘08”.

May 22nd – Foundry Tour – Mercury Marine, Fond du Lac,WI

Return Cards:We need youR help! To help control costs and to ensure that all attendees can be seated and served properly, it is important to have an accurate count of members attending for dinner. It is only necessary to return your cards if you are coming to the dinner.
