Remember: Monday, June 18, 2007. Save this date for The 14th Annual Golf Classic and Dinner at The Cherry Valley Club (Garden City, NY) where we will honor Mike Henning ’57 and Dan Henning ’60 for their many accomplishments in the business and professional sports world, as well as their tremendous dedication to the Prep over the years.
Mike Henning is the Former Deputy Chairman of Ernst & Young and CEO of Ernst & Young International who currently serves asa Director of OmnicomGroup and CTS Corporation.Dan Henning has been a successful football coach for many years at both the college and professional levels, serving most recently as Offensive Coordinator for the NFL’s Carolina Panthers. Mike and Dan are both members of St. Francis Prep’s Hall of Fame, and Mike also serves on the Prep’s Board of Trustees, and the SFP Alumni Board and the organizers of The Golf Classic take great pleasure in recognizing these fine gentlemen at this year’s event.
Since we anticipate that many special guests from the business and sports worlds will want to attend in addition to our regular participants, this event will probably sell out very quickly.Consequently, we will need to adhere to the first-come, first-served formula regarding tee-times. Once the afternoon session is filled, we will then assign golfers to the morning session.
So please registerearly to help guarantee your tee time and to help us document any sponsorship support you may want to provide. Remember, too,that the sponsorship opportunities provide areal key to the success of the Golf Classic (which benefits the Prep's scholarship and endowment funds), so we hope you will participate as generously as possible once again, as we honor two great Terriersloyal and true--Mike and Dan Henning--at what should be a very memorable event.
