Sr. Network Developer
Architecture, design and implementation of a J2EE-based Enterprise level Network Change and ConfigurationManagement (NCCM) platform.
- DeviceAuthority – Lead Network Management developer of the industry’s premier NCCM solution. Guided the evolution of the product from a simple Web application to a J2EE-based platform supporting a suite of client applications. Designed and developed in Java on the JBoss platform using EJB, XML, JSP/Servlet, HTML, JMS, JAAS, and SNMP technologies. Was responsible for the certified integration of DeviceAuthority with the HPOV NNM product. Also developed the Ant/Xdoclet build system, the multi-platform installer, and a Linux port of the application.
Pr. Software Engineer
Design and implementation of a Java-based Network Management product.
- C-View Services Manager – Led the design and development of the ATM provisioning module for C-View. Involved in all aspects of the implementation including SNMP MIBs, Oracle SQL, Java RMI and server code and Java UI design. Was instrumental in creating the FCS release of the product by developing a full-fledged installation tool and build environment using a custom-designed versioning API, a 3rd-party install API and ClearCase.
Sr. Software Engineer
Design and implementation of network control/configuration tools.
- Baystack Switching – Designed and developed interface layer for network management access to switch data in the VxWorks environment. Implemented Optivity NMS support for switching products using the Optivity Integration Toolkit (OIT).
- Optivity NCS – Design and implementation of Serial Console terminal window and scripting interface in Java.
- NETarchitect – Enhanced ATM network configuration product to support distributed Object-Oriented database. Designed and developed C++ classes, Motif views, daemon processes and UNIX scripts in a timely manner to deliver major release of product. Ported 350K LOC to HP ANSI C++ compiler. Managed ClearCase build process and Makefiles.
Sr. Software Engineer
Design and implementation of network control/configuration tools.
- ATM Mgmt - Developed Java to C++ client/server interface for a management application that controls and configures ATM networks.
- VLAN Explorer – Rewrote C++ Motif application onto Windows MFC framework. Added dynamic, synchronized updates of objects in the tree using Windows messaging.
- VLAN Manager – Led redesign effort. Designed and implemented a memory-based object cache in C++ for synchronizing access to data for a variety of views.
- Spectrum Management Gateway Server for the Novell Netware Management Module – Integrated Netware management into the Cabletron Spectrum Network Management platform through a proxy agent using C/C++ and a proprietary network protocol.
Provided training, consulting and support for SNMP based Enterprise Network Management Platform APIs. Was instrumental in winning contracts from many large companies involving large-scale network management systems development. Instructed customers and in-house engineers on the use of SNMP and MIBs.
