o  Donating one pint of your blood can help to save up to three lives!!! Blood is always needed as it cannot be stored for long periods of time. Therefore, we always need to replenish the blood supply.

o  If you would like to donate and did not already sign up, see Mrs. Bram in B01 or Mrs. Strainic in B107. Students 17 and older can sign up on the spot. Students who are 16 must have a permission slip signed by a parent or guardian.

o  Take the time to make a difference and please consider donating blood at our October 19th blood drive!!!(10/19)

·  Attention to All Students Scheduled to Donate Blood on Thursday:

o  Did you know that you can only donate blood if you have enough iron in your blood? If you do not have enough iron, you will not be able to donate.

o  What can you do to ensure that you are eligible to donate? Eat iron-rich foods for the next several days like meat, fish, and poultry. Eggs, spinach, sweet potatoes, broccoli, beans, and raisins are some other iron-rich foods.

o  Keep in mind, the blood drive is this Thursday!!! Get a good night's sleep before you come and drink plenty of water before you donate to make this a great experience. We'll see you Thursday!!!(10/17)
