It’s time for a HIPAA Minute with Jill Choi, Director of Health Information Systems at NCH. Join us as Jill gives us an update with some interesting new regulatory issues in 2015 that will affect your pediatric offices.

What have you recently heard about the transition to ICD-10? Jill Choi been intimately involved with the conversion at NCH and will be updating the team with new resources, tools, and information that she has been gathering over the last year. This webinar will be a pulse check as Jill helps us assess where we should be in the transitional process. Listen in also as she shares what she has recently learned from a 2 hour congressional discussion about the topic.

Erica Mohre, ICD-10 program manager will be joining us to share some data that NCH has been collecting over the last year from our local managed care organizations. While the majority of ICD-10 activities were stopped in August 2014 (due to a government delay for ICD-10 implementation), the NCH team decided to test with as many payors as possible, to ensure that they could (1) facilitate the test process as previously planned, (2) test with as many payors as possible in order to ascertain any kind of revenue-related impact related ICD-10 claims, and (3) make modifications as needed for round 2 of testing scheduled to occur in April – August 2015. The purpose of this report is to provide a high-level executive summary of the ICD-10 claims testing round one that was completed in 2014 and share trends they are seeing with payors.
