Deadline: November 18, 2016 – return completed form to your iPass teacher
November 15, 2016
Students and Parents/Guardians,
It is that time of year again when counselors will be meeting with students to schedule classes for the following school year. We encourage each student to discuss his/her class selections with their families, teachers and counselors.
During the meeting with counselors, the student and counselor will:
· Develop and/or review a 4-year graduation plan
· Discuss career interests/goals
· Discuss post-secondary education goals
· Review/plan next year’s schedule based on interests, goals, current grades
· Review/discuss other grade appropriate information (i.e., PSAT, SAT/ACT, State Graduation Exams, 21st Century Scholars, NCAA)
Counselors will meet with every student individually, starting with the current Freshmen class. We ask for your patience throughout this process so we may spend as much time as needed with each student. If you have questions about certain classes or what level of course you should plan on taking, please discuss those options with your current teacher. We also ask that you keep track of your questions/concerns. Please write down all questions that you have for the counselors so when meeting with them we will be sure to cover everything. The counselors look forward to meeting with all students during the scheduling process!
