Scholarship Eligibility Requirements and Instructions

  • Selection criteria used in awarding scholarships will be based on a combination of student achievements.
  • These scholarships are one-time awards and are not renewable and the scholarships will be paid to the individual winners and must be utilized for educational expenses during the 2017-2018 school year.
  • Monetary awards will be given after they have been accepted and registration verified at any accredited college, university, or vocational/technical school.
  • The applicant must have been a student in District 204 for a cumulative minimum of three (3) semesters prior to application.
  • Financial need isnot a consideration in the award of this scholarship.
  • Winners to be announced at the annual Green and Gold Awards Night on May 9, 2017.

The Kyle Zuleg Memorial Scholarship

Waubonsie Valley High School PTSA (Parent/Teacher/Student Association) will be awarding scholarships to Waubonsie Valley HS students. A newly established Kyle Zuleg Foundation Scholarship (see criteria below) will be available this year. Thisscholarship will be awarded to a Waubonsie Valley High School senior who expects to major in the field of journalism/broadcasting communications. Kyle Zuleg, was a NeuquaValley student who passed away unexpectedly during his junior year of high school. Along with his passion for sports and life, Kyle had aspirations to become a sports broadcaster.

Selection criteria used in awarding scholarships will be based on a combination of student achievements. Monetary awards will be given to students who have been accepted to any accredited college, university or vocational/technical school. They will be a one-time award and are not renewable. Winners will be announced at Green and Gold Night on May 9, 2017. The monetary award will be given after school acceptance and registration has been verified by the organization.
