New PhD AQ status for first 5 years

Others have to maintain AQ Status

PQ- meet standards: 40 hours of CPE to maintain license (meet 1 of 3)

Patricia Fritz and Debra Schisler (4451 and 4631)- have to meet 2 standards to maintain PQ status (look into project that would help fulfill these requirements)

  • Carefully review expectations of AACSB
  • Online classes- must list office hours(5) on syllabi

At least 1 proctored exam

  • Graduation- 20% faculty have to attend university graduation (rotate faculty- everyone takes a turn)
  • Pre-approved travel- at least 1 week notice
  • Accounting Goals- SACS assessment requires departmental goals

1)Technical skills in accounting and internal control procedures

2)Aware/sensitive to ethical issues in accounting

4631, 4611; case study’s implementing our goals

  • Agreed to approve these goals- all voted yes
  • Curriculum changes-3 major program changes
  • Undergrad- BSBA (Removing BSA/MSA)

126 Hours vs. 120 Hours—eliminate 6 hours of electives

123 Hours (same as everyone else)

Very little difference- all BSBAs must take 3731, removed OMGT 4293

Change COAD 1000 to be a recommended elective, not required elective

Everyone voted in favor of new degree (BSBA)

We want to lower ours as well

BUSI> 6601—Basics of ACCT, FINA (3 hr course)

BUSI> 6602—Basics of MGMT, MRKT, ECON (3 hr course)

Covers BEC-business environment component

45 total hours for non-business undergraduate

39 total hours for business undergraduate
