Enrolments & Fees:

Enrolments

-  Census date for second semester was Saturday. So this week is the final solving of enrolment issues, and processing last minute withdrawals and intermissions.

-  Students who did not submit a Commonwealth Assistance Form, or did not submit a tax file number (TFN) to defer their fees, will have their enrolment for this semester cancelled

-  TM academic progression starts this week, with analysis of pending results prior to the Boards of Examiners late in the week and release of results this Friday

-  OUA study period 3 teaching begins this week, and we will be responding to various enquiries from the OUA students

Fees

-  Processing all payments received up to the last weekend will take Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday we will formally cancel students for non-payment of fees. There has been a progressive campaign over the last eight weeks advising student of their obligations and deadlines, including phone calls last week by The Student Centre, so there should not be any students that are surprised by their enrolment being cancelled.

-  As the semester 2 peak period is just about ended, over the next three months Enrolments and Fees will:

·  review procedures and forms for 2017

·  rework the way students interact with the compulsory and non-compulsory re-enrolment steps in MyInfo so that access to self-enrolment in units and majors, access to the Commonwealth Assistance Form, and updating of personal details and intended completion periods is clearer and cleaner for our various groups of students

·  look at the 700 or so pre-2014 students who have not progressed over the last two years and invite them to transfer to the post-2017 courses

·  look at roughly 150 pre-2014 students who have reached or are about to reach the 12 year maximum duration for their course, and with the Academic Chairs determining a management plan to completion and a firm completion date

·  finish the Fee Review

·  set up the assessment and academic progression structure, and the fee assessment data, for 2017

Equity and Social Inclusion:

-  Disability Advisors are booked up for the next 3 weeks

-  The next ALLY discussion group is on Thurs 8 Sept in ECL 1.1026 (tea and coffee making facilities available). Bring your lunch. All welcome!

-  Please consider doing the next training session on Disability Services for Students on Campus on 19 September in the Senate Conference Room 12noon – 1.30pm. All welcome!
