Kellogg PTSA 2/7/2017

I. Katie Browelet: co-president started the meeting at 7:00 p.m.

Golden Acorn:
Flowers to be brought for the winner at Kelarnival.
Email reminder to be sent to parents for nominees.
Will have a PTSA at Kelarnival.
Raffle tickets will be at the event for 80's Trivia Night at the Aqua Club.
Examples: Teach with the jazz band teacher; Kindle; Lunch with the principal and gift cards.

Raffle Update (Kelarnival):
Tickets $4.
There will be a donation box for 6th grade families.
If you buy a ticket, then you get beads.
Volunteers will walk around with pom-poms.
II. Note Sunshine McArthur secretary in 2017 to be taken off of checks. Katie Browelet (co-president 2017) to be added, effective immediately.

III. Deci Evans: Ways and Means
Auction:
Examples of raffle items: murder mystery dinner; Paella dinner; Pottery night with pottery teacher; drinks with principal at the "principals office" at McMinimums.
Volunteers: please be at Aqua Club at 10 a.m. to help set up.
Park below the Aqua Club.
Tickets: Brown Paper Ticket. You can buy singles, doubles or a table. A reminder will be sent out.

IV. Heather Hiatt: Principal
Staff lunch - amazing! Thank you for splitting the lunches for both teacher lunches.
Moving forward, there will be 1-2 more staff lunches. Perhaps homemade soup and Jimmy Johns for lunch.
June lunch idea- Garlic bread, pasta etc.

Bond reminder: Vote yes for Shoreline Schools! Heather will be holding a sign at the Goodwill for publicity.

V. Budget update:
Goal of budget - $11,000, net of $9,000
Pays for:
Kids in medicine $2,000 - 55 kids participating and need volunteers
Goal of budget continued:
$800 MSP snacks
$5,000 Hang time
U of W field trip $2,000 - May 8th

VI. Fund a need: Honorary Knights cost $150 for
Beth motioned to continue to supports Honorary Knights.
