After several members of the Planning Commission returned from parking their vehicles at the Essex end of Ingham Hill Road, Alvin Wolfgram led the attendant Commission members on a tour of the site for purposes of orientation from the west entrance of the proposed Sanctuary Drive. Wolfgram directed the Commission’s attention to the general path of the tour on location maps, beginning by pointing out the approximate location of a proposed cul-de-sac at the Town boundary and the proposed detention basins at the Route 153 (Essex Road) entrance. The Commission proceeded up the approximate centerline of the proposed road delineated by pink field ribbon past an existing house on proposed Lot 21. From the intersection of Sanctuary Drive and the proposed nature trail, the Commission headed north along an unimproved portion of Ingham Hill Road to circumvent a wetland area. The Commission traveled along an old woods road to the location of where the applicant proposes for Sanctuary Drive to cross a watercourse and wetlands area. The Commission followed the proposed Sanctuary Drive to its connection with a residential street at Watermark Hill. Wolfgram identified the approximate location of proposed sites surrounding the path of the Commission as it made its way to Ingham Hill Road in Essex. The Commission returned to the west entrance via vehicles parked there prior to the meeting.
